celebration and competition devoted to the haiku form of poetry
Dear Haiku Lovers,
The ukiaHaiku Committee wants to thank everyone who participated in the 2024 competition and festival. We are especially grateful to all of the poets who submitted work, over 1,000 submissions from 30 countries!
We are taking a break over the summer and will reconvene in the fall to plan next year's event. In the absence of a few more ardent volunteers (is that you??) we anticipate that the 2025 festival will be scaled back, celebrating the haiku spirit through the offerings of local haiku enthusiasts and audience members while not holding a contest.
